We are a production company that makes room for creatives to learn, grow and express themselves to the best of their ability. We work with creatives on all levels and together we learn from each other and create amazing works. Leeeping Frog Productions is proud to present A Work In Progress (AWIP). This irreverent solo sketch comedy show spins hysterical character-driven scenarios surrounding human nature. Black comedy at its finest. The show is for those who secretly or outwardly like to laugh at, COVID-19 Karens, Internet Dating, drunk women, dirty old men, domestic fighting couples, bad therapy, and nightmare roommates to name a few. Humanity is where all people relate and there will always be something funny when humans "RELATE". AWIP is bound to make people laugh.
Hey, there Khemali here and thank you so much for dropping in and checking out Leeeping Frog Productions. I started the company in 2007. Back then I knew I wanted to do something big with the company, but I didn't have a solid plan in place. So the business sat for 9 years while I was figuring out my life. In 2016 My friend Jo, shaman of fitness, was doing some consulting work and teaching at Harlem Cycle. He wanted to produce a variety show in the space and he challenged me to perform some of my characters for the first show. And I did and that's where A Work iN Progress. my solo sketch comedy, show was born, under Leeeping Frog Productions. Within 6 months my audience grew and I moved the show off broadway to the Medicine Show Theatre; and I got a wonderful director, Mary E. Hodges. The show ran for 2 years and was slated to go back up in 2020. But COVID-19 took the fun out of everything. Or did it? So COVID-19 made me pivot. I got therapy, got a life coach! Hey Susannah Ludwig! And then I started shooting, performing, and editing my COVID-19 comedy sketches. COVID-19 was a rich resource for black comedy. Then I got a business coach! Hey J Nycole Ralph and I put up my first ever ZOOM LIVE show. And now you are here with me getting your ticket to my second ZOOM LIVE show! Yasss!
